Heroic Championship Sunday at Hoop Magic, Agent Zero Invitational

The DC Assault annually produces some of the areas best talent (including #2 NBA Draft Pick, Michael Beasley). In fact the talent is so plentiful, that they are able to place several quality teams in large tournaments, such as the Agent Zero Invitational at Hoop Magic this weekend.
It was no surprise that two DC Assault teams reached the finals of the 15U Gold Bracket. Furthermore, these teams hate to lose, and hate more to lose to each other. The intensity was vicious from start to finish…and oh what a finish.
The DC Assault Gold held a two point lead over their rival DC Assault Blue, with less than 5 seconds to go. With the Gold in semi-celebratory mode, the Blue coaches huddled their players to plan a miracle…and it came in the form of a running game winning 3 pointer at the buzzer. Initially ruled a 2, the referees reviewed & to DC Gold’s dismay, overturned the call. The game was over, but the arguing continued and did for most of the day.
