Titans to Remember: T.C. Beats Bethel for Boys State Title, 50-37; Heritage Wins Girls Final
The VHSL AAA State Basketball boys and girls championship will be decided tonight.
Girls Basketball Final:
The Heritage Lady Hurricanes (Newport News) vs. the Forest Park Lady Bruins (Woodbridge - links for 2007-2008 Lady Bruins photos and Lady Bruins video clips).
The Lady Hurricanes are out of Newport News, the Easter Region, the same region that the Princess Anne Cavaliers play. Princess Anne (Virginia Beach) ended the Lee Lady Lancers (Springfield) season just last week.
UPDATE: Heritage won big vs Forest Park, 50-29! The Lady Hurricanes are the 2007-2008 VHSL State Champs…wow!
Boys Basketball Final:
The T.C. Williams Titans (Alexandria - links for 2007-2008 Titans photosand Titans video clips) vs. the Bethel Bruins (Hampton).
The Titans are playing as we write vs the Bethel Bruins. T.C. is looking to become the first team from Northern VA to win the high school state basketball championship in the 21st century. People might forget that Allen Iverson attended and played basketball for the Bethel Bruins. Both teams boast incredible athleticism and ferocious defense. Sean Broadus (Valmara Video Productions) and Tim Wallace (Wallace Photography) are compiling video and photo highlights.
