This is just not the year for the home teams hosting the District Playoffs!
Just heard from Kevin Turner who was at Robinson tonight to cover the boys semi-final action for the Concorde District. This time, the home victims were once again, the Robinson Rams.
The Rams simply ran into a top notch Chantilly squad, the district’s #2 seed. The visiting Chargers took nothing lightly, and advanced to the finals with a 59-44 triumph.
The other semi-final featured the #1 Seed Westfield Bulldogs versus the Herndon Hornets. The Dogs took control early and easily rolled to a 63-43 victory.
So yes, once again we will see Chantilly vs Westfield, one the areas best rivalries. Both teams held serve on their home courts this year, so this one will be the tie-breaker and why not for the Concorde District Championship.

UPDATE!!! Because of the potential ice storm tonight, tomorrow’s Concorde finals might be postponed until Saturday @ 5 pm for the girls, 7 pm for the boys. We will keep you updated, but rumors were already flying that the games would be postponed until Saturday.
