Westfield Bulldogs Girls & Boys Reach Bash Finals; Scores, Highlights & Updates!
LocalReplay coverage continues for the 2007 Bulldog Bash basketball tournament at Westfield High School.
Earlier this month, the Westfield Bulldogs defeated the Woodbridge Vikings to win the Division 6 Football State Championship. Well, the Dogs also proved to be a step ahead on the basketball court as they ran past the talented Vikes, 55-45 in one of the two semi-finals. Westfield jumped out to a 32-19 lead, by beating Woodbridge at their own game–the full court press. The Vikes used the same tactics to beat the Freedom Eagles on Thursday night. In the first semi-final, the West Mecklenberg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) bounced the Woodson Cavaliers to the losers bracket, 68-60. The Hawks used a strong second half to pull away for Woodson. Kevin Curry was also there, working DOUBLE. Highlights are POSTED NOW!. Click here tomorrow.

The evening games featured a 9:15 PM tip for the Westfield Girls…all the fans who waited were rewarded for their patience. Our own Kevin Curry was there to bring highlights to you! Click here for highlights of Westfield Lady Bulldogs exciting 60-45 victory over the Bullis Bulldogs. The Westfield girls were locked in a back forth battle with Bullis before pulling away in the final quarter, and advancing to the final Saurday night @ 7:30 pm.
