Westfield Hosts Bulldog Bash Holiday Basketball Tournament Dec. 26-29
CHANTILLY, Va. — If you want to see some of the best basketball Northern Virginia has to offer during the Christmas holiday week, this year’s sixth-annual Raytheon Bulldog Bash Holiday Tournament is where you want to be.
Westfield High School’s boys and girls basketball teams will again host some of the region’s best teams. Three-out-of the area teams will also participate. They include the Bullis School (Maryland) and Midlothian High School (Richmond area) in the girls bracket and West Mecklenburg (North Carolina) in the boys bracket.
The other participants in the girls bracket will be Annandale, Dominion, Freedom-Woodbridge, Robert E. Lee, Washington & Lee and Westfield. On the boys side, Westfield (last year’s champions) will welcome back Freedom, Robinson, Woodbridge and West Mecklenburg as well as first-time participants Liberty, South County and Woodson.
The four-day tournament kicks off Wednesday, Dec. 26, and will culminate with the championship games on Saturday, Dec. 29. Tickets are $5 per day (good for all games that day). A four-day tournament pass is available for $16. Free admission will be granted to children under age 6, adults over age 60, and any travel or house youth basketball players wearing their uniform top and accompanied by a paying adult.
