St. John’s vs DeMatha football game video highlight
The DeMatha High School Football Stags made the Saturday trip to DC for an afternoon football game, and smashed St. John’s football 38-6.
Sean Broadus has posted video highlights of the game on both of the team web sites linked above.
St. Johns had won three straight including last week’s win over Good Counsel, and were ranked in the top ten in most DC area high school football polls, before falling to the Stags today. Nationally ranked DeMatha won their fourth straight football game. For a game recap, click here courtesy of Josh Barr.
DeMatha’s only loss of the season came in their first game of the season in Cincinnati at the Kirk Herbstreit Classic. DeMatha was not the only prominent, nationally ranked team to fall in Ohio that weekend. Charlotte’s Independence Patriots (Independence photo highlights and Independence video highlights) was also a victim, having their seven-year, 109-game winning streak snapped that weekend by Cincinnati’s Elder High School.
