Place: Westfield High School Football Stadium, Chantilly VA

Event: The Battle for Chantilly, #5 Westfield Bulldogs vs #2 Chantilly Chargers (Washington Post Rankings)

What an atmosphere. What a game. What a night.

Westfield’s student body called for a “black out”, meaning all fans in the stands would be wearing black to mimic their home team jerseys, and to further confirm how important this game was to all the Bulldog faithful. A fully charged Chantilly squad wearing white was the road team, and their fans would also not be intimidated. The Charger faithful countered with a “white out”, honoring their team jersey colors and creating a memorable night for photos and video footage. LocalReplay.com was fortunate to witness the event and would like to thank Westfield Atheltic Director, Francis Dall, for squeezing us in on the sidelines.

The first half lived up to the hype as leads exchanged hands before Westfield headed to the locker room ahead 14-13.
