Fearless Warhawks Re-claim Outback Trophy, 14-7 under Oakton Friday Night Lights
September 2nd, 2007 Posted in VA High School Football 2007Despite the homefield advantage, the Oakton Cougars fell behind 14-0 and did not score until late in the 3rd Quarter. The Madison Warhawks were sparked by their junior quarterback, Will Clarkson, who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns. The annual bout between Madison and Oakton is called the Outback Bowl, because it is sponsored by Outback Steakhouse. The rivalry is rather fierce, as the schools are neighbors, like their towns, Oakton (Cougars) and Vienna (Warhawks).
