VA Football Playoffs: Osbourn Stuns Woobridge, 24-20

The Woodbridge Vikings seemed all but guaranteed to return the Division 6 State Finals.

The Osbourn Eagles were given little chance even to be in this game, much less win it.

That is why they play the game.

The last and 6th seeded Eagles shocked previously unbeaten Battlefield just last week. So one would figure that the flukey playoff upset was out of the way..not so fast my friend.

Everyone expected the showdown between Battlefield and Woodbridge last night…except for the pesky Osbourn Eagles. Everyone expected that Woodbride got a gift to play the 6th seed last night….except the Osbourn Eagles. Everyone expected Woddbridge to score from the ONE FOOT line with 3 minutes left, and win the game…except for Osbourn Eagles.

VA Football Playoffs Woodbridge Blasts Hylton 34-10, Advances

LocalReplay.com was @ Woodridge this Friday Night as the Vikings welcome the Hylton Bulldogs to their homefield for a PW county playoff showdown. The atmosphere was electric and Sean Broadus was there to capture all the best highlights.

The Vikings quest for a return to the DIV-6 State Title has begun. They were dismantled in 2007 by the defending champion Westfield Bulldogs. The Vikes are a hungry motivated squad, but Hylton would like nothing better then to reclaim the PW County glory.

Heroic Championship Sunday at Hoop Magic, Agent Zero Invitational

Maybe the most controversial shot ever at Hoop Magic took place at the end of the 15U Gold Championship game on Sunday…We have it for your review!

The DC Assault annually produces some of the areas best talent (including #2 NBA Draft Pick, Michael Beasley). In fact the talent is so plentiful, that they are able to place several quality teams in large tournaments, such as the Agent Zero Invitational at Hoop Magic this weekend.

It was no surprise that two DC Assault teams reached the finals of the 15U Gold Bracket. Furthermore, these teams hate to lose, and hate more to lose to each other. The intensity was vicious from start to finish…and oh what a finish.

The DC Assault Gold held a two point lead over their rival DC Assault Blue, with less than 5 seconds to go. With the Gold in semi-celebratory mode, the Blue coaches huddled their players to plan a miracle…and it came in the form of a running game winning 3 pointer at the buzzer. Initially ruled a 2, the referees reviewed & to DC Gold’s dismay, overturned the call. The game was over, but the arguing continued and did for most of the day.

“Agent Zero to Hero” Invitational Tips Off at Hoop Magic in Chantilly, VA

The Agent Zero Invitational is an NCAA Certified event, also endorsed by Washington Wizard’s guard, Gilbert Arenas. Arenas, nicknamed Agent Zero, is known for filling up the highlight reel on SportsCenter and he will be happy with the performances so far.

Boxing Highlights from the Annandale Boys & Girls Club: 10 Bouts!

LocalReplay.com continued its boxing coverage at the Annandale Boys and Girls boxing complex. 3 rounds per bout, 2 minutes per round. Almost 300 people packed in the house for an action packed night.

Our own Sean Broadus of Valmara Video Productions was there to film all TEN bouts, yes 10. After 3 exhibition bouts, it was ladies first as the real boxing got underway. Quishanna Fowler of ABC Boxing (Alexandria, VA) took Gina DeAndrea of Umar Boxing (Baltimore Maryland). The contorversy started right away as the judge gave Quishanna the victory, despite many feeling Gina won the final round.

Video highlights: UVA All-Stars vs Maryland Pacers at Hoop Magic in Chantilly, VA
