NC Area III American Legion Baseball Finals Set
South Rowan Legion beat Area III South top seed Lexington tonight to advance to complete the bracket for the two Area III championship series. South battled back to beat Lexington in two win or go home games after #1 seeded Lexington had taken a 2-1 best-of-5 series lead. South Rowan advances to face Randolph County Legion in one championship series.
Neighboring Rowan County Legion will battle the Area III North #1 seed, Post 63, Burlington-Graham, in the other championship series. Both Rowan County and Burlington-Graham Legion swept their first two playoff opponents.
The winners advance to represent Area III in the NC state championships.
