The 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals continue in Greensboro today at North Carolina A&T University. Complete Friday results are here.

Some of the North Carolina highlights:

  • NC was very well represented in the women’s 100 meter. Two runners earned All-American status, Stormy Kendrick (3rd place) and Dominique Weathers (4th place). Making the finals and barely missing All American recognition was Jacinda Evans, Gatorade’s North Carolina Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
  • Hunter Furr earned a national championship, winning the 100 meter. Hunter competes in the 200 M on Saturday.
  • Spencer Adams won the 110 hurdles to earn a national championship. Spencer competes in the 400 H on Saturday.
  • Track Eastern Carolina won the 1600 Medley Relay
  • Kayla Price, Amy Hofmann, Dannielle Hobbs and Samantha Sawyer of Sun Valley High finished 9th in the 4×800 (see photos on Sun Valley team site).
