JACKSONVILLE WOMEN WIN NCHSAA STATE 3-A TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP

Jacksonville took the women’s title with 74 points, with defending champ T.C. Roberson the runner-up with 53.50, just ahead of Western Guilford with 52. Dudley was fourth with 41 points and Ragsdale fifth at 36.
Jackonsville’s Brandy Swann (400 meters) and Ryanna Henderson (800 meters) won individual events to help Jacksonville win the championship. Jacksonville’s men finished fourth in the men’s state championship
Kelsey McCorkle of South Central took a pair of individual first places in the 100 meters and 200 meters to earn the women’s MVP award.
