Dylan Ferris of East Forsyth was chosen the Most Valuable Performer in the men’s meet, winning both the 800 and 1600. Scott Houston of Northwest Guilford set an all-classification record in the pole vault, clearing 16 feet even. He eclipsed the standard set by Southwest Guilford’s Daniel Keller in 2005 by three inches and bettered the 4-A mark Houston himself established a year ago by seven inches.
