Winston-Salem Prep Academy wins boys basketball championship

Winston-Salem Prep won the 2007-2008 NCHSAA 1-A high school boys basketball championship, crushing Pamlico 73-42. Reggie Johnson (Miami-bound) led the Phoenix with 25 points and 23 boards, winning MVP honors. Teammate Marcus Wright was the West MVP with 21 points, while Kendall Ham of Pamlico played a fine all around game to earn East MVP honors.
