Kinston wins 3-A boys basketball championship

The Kinston Vikings defeated Trinity 60-58 to win the 2007-2008 NCHSAA high school boys basketball championship. Bo Ingram was the game MVP, leading Kinston with 21 points, including hitting all four of his critical foul shots down the stretch. Teammate Reggie Bullock, verbally committed to UNC, played well on the Dean Dome floor, scoring 13 points despite limping around for much of the second half, and taking home East MVP honors. Ingram and Bullock each pulled down 8 boards as well. West MVP Josh Pittman scored 23 to lead the Trinity Bulldogs. It was only Trinity’s second loss of the season.
