East Mecklenburg wins NC 4A boys high school basketball state championship

The East Mecklenburg Eagles beat the Apex Cougars 72-63 to win the 2007-2008 NCHSAA boys basketball state championship. Seniors Titus Robinson and Malik Stith scored 20 points each for the Eagles - Titus dominating inside, grabbing 11 boards, and Stith was seemingly everywhere with 7 steals and 4 assists. Adam Perry had 17 and Weston Murphy 15 for Apex. It was the first ever boys basketball championship for East Meck.
