Day two of the Sam Moir Christmas Classic basketball tournament at Catawba College today was packed with more great high school basketball, including tonight’s thrilling game between the Salisbury boys and East Rowan boys.

Today’s results:
Salisbury boys basketball closed the day of basketball with an upset over the defending champion, #1 seed and previously undefeated East Rowan Mustangs in overtime 87-83.
Davie County will face Salisbury in tomorrow’s boys basketball championship game, after Davie defeated South Rowan today 73-61.
The Salisbury girls basketball team advanced in their quest for a fifth consecutive Sam Moir championship, dominating the South Rowan girls today 73-25.
The East Rowan girls will face Salisbury in tomorrow’s girl’s championship game, after East knocked off West Rowan today, 50-46.
The North Rowan girls and West Rowan boys won the early consolation games.
