The 2007 Sam Moir Christmas Classic basketball tournament starts at Catawba College today and runs through Saturday’s championships. Photo and video highlights from the teams competing will be on the Sam Moir Tournament Site. The Salisbury girls basketball team are gunning for their fifth consecutive Sam Moir championship and enter as the #1 seed in the girls bracket. East Rowan boys basketball is the #1 seed in the boys bracket, striving to defend their 2006 Sam Moir Christmas Classic championship. Both the Salisbury girls and East Rowan boys have jumped out to 9-0 starts to the 2007-2008 season. Full tournament preview here from the Post.
