Rivals just released their 2007 top 50 high school football teams in the nation. How many NC high school football teams? Zero. Makes you wonder how valid these nation-wide polls can be? We’ve seen teams in NC, VA, GA, and FL, including Northwestern (#1), Warner Robins (#9), and Westfield (#13). All great teams, but the high school football teams listed in our final 2007 high school football poll could beat any of them on any given day. How many would win, how many would lose? No clue, that’s why games are played on the field, not on paper, and nationwide high school football polls are meaningless.
