T.C. Roberson beats South Point to advance in NC high school football playoffs

T.C. Roberson football traveled to Belmont to take on South Point, and made a statement that might have been audible back up in the mountains around Asheville, knocking off the Red Raiders in the 3AA West high school football playoffs to take one more giant step towards a championship game at Kenan Stadium in two weeks. South Point had been a top 10 football team most of the year, and was coming off a 70-point performance vs NW Cabarrus, but TCR came in rolling as well, coming off a shut-out victory over Parkland, and headed back to the mountains with a 37-13 victory. TC Roberson will play the winner of Charlotte Catholic vs Hickory next week in the 3AA west championship game.
