Leesville Road and New Bern advance to NCHSAA 4AA East Football Championship

Leesville Road and New Bern advanced in the high school football playoffs to next week’s 4AA East final. Leesville Road defeated previously undefeated South View 17-7, while New Bern beat Millbrook 40-38 on the final play of their thrilling game. The winner of Leesville Road and New Bern will advance to the state 4AA football championship at Groves Stadium in Winston Salem to face the winner of West Charlotte and Independence.
