Fuquay-Varina beats Seventy-First to open 4A football playoffs

Fuquay-Varina advanced in the NCHSAA playoffs, beating Seventy-First 20-13. Fuquay advances to face Southern Durham in the second round of the playoffs next week.
Chris Minor, Cory Mixon, and Grant Pearce scored the Fuquay touchdowns. Minor ran for over 100 yards. James Hopper and Jamal Shuman scored the Seventy-First touchdowns.
