Hendersonville volleyball wins 2007 NC high school 1-A volleyball championship

Hendersonville volleyball defeated Louisburg volleyball to win their third straight high school 1A volleyball championship.
Highlights will be posted tonight on team web sites and the playoff site. From the NCHSAA: Senior Bailey Hunter earned her third consecutive championship Most Valuable Player award as she led Hendersonville to the 2007 1A championship - Hendersonville’s third straight NCHSAA 1-A championship.
Hendersonville swept Louisburg by scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 25-16, to earn its ninth state crown in 11 visits to the final. Louisburg was playing in its eighth state championship but first since 1997.
Hunter, who is headed to Georgia Tech, had a great all-around game with 20 mills, three blocks and 13 digs in leading the Lady Bearcats to their 27th victory in 30 starts. Britney Hicks paced Louisburg, 24-2 overall, with 12 kills.
