Greenville D.H. Conley wins 2007 NC 3-A high school volleyball championship

D.H. Conley volleyball defeated West Iredell volleyball to win their first ever high school 4A volleyball championship.
Highlights will be posted tonight on team web sites and the playoff site. From the NCHSAA: Greenville D.H. Conley won a dramatic five-game affair over West Iredell to win the 2007 3-A volleyball championship, winning the fifth and decisive game 15-7.
The Conley Vikings dropped the opener 25-20, won the second game 25-15, and then fell behind two games to one by losing 25-21 and then took the fourth by 25-22.
Senior Stephanie Lombardo of Conley was the MVP of the 3-A title match with 15 kills and five digs. Outside hitter Bria James knocked home 23 kills to pace the West Iredell Warriors.
Conley volleyball finished with a 24-4 mark while West Iredell volleyball wound up 22-6.
