1. Football: Richmond beat Scotland in a stunning ending to a tremendous football rivalry game. The game recap is at this link and photo highlights are on the team web sites linked above. Last week’s football rankings are at this link (both were in the top five), and the scoreboard is at this link.
2. Soccer: Defending 3A champion Lake Norman continued their undefeated season with an impressive win over an excellent 4A Mount Tabor soccer team. Last week’s soccer rankings are at this link (both were in the top ten). Soccer will soon hit the playoffs and be featured on this site.
3. Volleyball: the first round of the volleyball playoffs started Saturday, with excellent matches played all over the state. Round one winners are listed in this blog post. Playoff volleyball teams, photos, and videos are featured on this site.
