High school football week nine - East Meck upsets Butler
October 12th, 2007 Posted in High School FootballEast Mecklenburg upset Butler by a score of 22-21. Butler was up 21-14 when East Meck scored to make the score 21-20 but missed the PAT that would have tied the game. However, East Mecklenburg then pinned Butler deep in their own territory and a bad snap led Butler QB Jacob Charest to be forced to kick the ball out of the end zone for a safety to give East Meck the 22-21 lead. Butler could not put together another scoring drive and East Meck earned the 22-21 upset victory.
