Week 7 - September 24, 2007.
Week 6 was full of exciting games, and the start of conference play for many teams, but did not result in many large changes in our weekly high school football poll. The team making the greatest leap up actually climbed mainly due to their week 5 game that got postponed due to lightning until Monday of this week. On Monday, West Charlotte showed their own thunder and lightning, beating then #2 ranked Butler. Combined with their good play vs #1 Independence, and this week’s blowout of previously undefeated Hopewell, the West Charlotte Lions roar all the way up to #6 in this week’s poll.
