High School Soccer - Mount Pleasant bounces back after losing top spot in poll

Mount Pleasant boys soccer, looking to bounce back after suffering a loss and a tie that caused them to lose the top spot in our 2A soccer poll, traveled to South Stanly and came away with a 6-0 victory. Mount Pleasant scored five first half goals, and then scored another in the second half. Mount Pleasant soccer dominated from the start as they were all over the field, getting multiple shots on goal and keeping South Stanly from getting hardly any shots on goal. The win improves Mount Pleasant soccer’s record to seven wins with one loss and one tie. South Stanly boys soccer remains winless on the season, as their record goes to zero wins with five losses and one tie.
