A.L. Brown football video highlight from last week’s victory over rival South Rowan

A.L. Brown football stayed undefeated with a 29-26 thriller over an impressive Mooresville football team.
This had all the signs of being a great game and lived up to expectations. The game started with a bang - actually two bangs - Kannapolis A.L. Brown’s electrifying Artrelle Louis took the opening kickoff to the house, and then Mooresville came right back with a long Jishaun Pinkston TD run (photo above) on Mooresville’s first play from scrimmage. Pinkston did the same thing the next time he touched the ball - scoring Mooresville’s second TD. Louis ran for a touchdown with QB Jonathan Effird running in the two-point conversion to give A.L. Brown a 15-12 halftime lead.
In the fourth quarter, after Mooresville had reclaiming the lead at 26-22 with two touchdowns through the air, and with the Mooresville defense stuffing just about everything A.L. Brown was trying to do offensively, A.L. Brown reached into the playbook, pulled out a reverse pass, and ran it beautifully - WR T.J. Johnson took the reverse and then completed a long pass to Dominique Norris. The long pass play setup the ultimate game winning Terrance Johnson TD run, as the Wonders defense got two big sacks to end Mooresville’s final scoring threat.
