2007 high school soccer underway - Apex blanks Millbrook 3-0
August 22nd, 2007 Posted in High School Soccer
Most Carolina high school soccer teams are starting regular season games this week, including a good early season boys soccer match between Millbrook and Apex this evening. The Apex Cats are always a force to be reckoned with in the Tri 8 Conference, winning it in 2006 for the 18th time, and winning the state championships in 2005. In fact, the entire Apex soccer program is very strong - the Lady Cats won the state championship last year.
However, the 2007 Apex boy’s team will need to grow up fast - only a few starters return from the 2006 team. Well, if tonight is any indication, Apex is well on their way, as Apex blanked Millbrook 3-0. Michael Smith scored two goals and Kyle Bacon scored one for Coach Kevin Todd’s Cats.
Some great Thomas Babb photos have already been posted here on the 2007 Apex boy’s soccer TeamCard.
