Cary started their new football season with a bang, blanking Broughton 28-0 on the road at Caps Stadium in Raleigh.

Cary running backs Denny Feracho and Andrew Hill each scored two touchdowns to lead Cary to the victory. Broughton was in the game at half, down only 7-0 and able to move the ball, but key turnovers and penalties kept the Capitals off the scoreboard. Cary came out strong in the second half, scoring a touchdown on their first possession, and pulling away on a Feracho 73-yard TD scamper that put Cary up three TDs. Feracho finished with 153 rushing yards.

Cary won last year’s game 29-20, and both teams are expected to be 2007 contenders.
