2007 NC American Legion Baseball State Championship Sunday

August 12th, 2007 Posted in American Legion baseball

Three North Carolina Legion baseball teams survived the first four days of double elimination playoff play at Garner High School’s Trojan Field to remain in contention for the 2007 NC American Legion State Championship. After today, one of those teams will be the new state champion (Morehead City was the defending champion and was eliminated earlier in playoff play).

Cherryville Legion is in the driver’s seat, but Caldwell County Legion and Wayne County Legion are playing excellent baseball as well. Due to early playoff losses, Wayne and Caldwell will play at 1pm, with the winner advancing to face Cherryville in a single game State Championship, starting about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. The NC champion advances to the American Legion Baseball Southeast Regionals in Albany, Georgia, starting on August 16th.

Our full coverage will continue to be on our home page for the NC Legion baseball playoffs. As always, you can add your photos and videos there as well, and move any photo or video on the site to your personal FanCards, TeamCards, and StarCards.
