Blue day at Nationals for Carolina AAU Basketball teams but Marcus Jordan delivers

All five of North Carolina’s AAU basketball teams that had won their way into the playoff bracket at the AAU National Championships suffered Sunday losses. The best moment for many Carolina fans might have come in a game featuring a squad from Illinois and a team from Massachusetts. The Illinois team, Rising Stars 16 Gold, includes Marcus Jordan. Yes, the son of Michael Jordan. Marcus Jordan, a rising sophomore at Loyola Academy in suburban Chicago, is just like any other player on the very talented Rising Stars team, but today he hit the game winning shot in overtime to beat the South Shore Basketball Club 79 - 78 in a thrilling, well-played game.
