The East (roster link) all-stars matched the hot July night, racing out to a 19 - 0 lead, and beat the West (roster link) by a final score of 22 - 14.

A Kendrick Best (Eastern Wayne) interception set up an Andrew Courman (East Carteret) TD run to give East a 7 - 0 first quarter lead. In the second, East added a Trase Jones (Roanoke Rapids) field goal to make it 10 - 0. Then Courman broke off the top run of the day, taking it up straight up the gut, breaking a tackle, and taking it to the house for his second rushing TD of the night, and a 17 - 0 East lead. A safety on a botched West punt from their endzone gave the East all-stars a 19 - 0 lead.

Late in the second quarter, West looked like they might make a game of it. Michael McDowell hauled in an 80-yard TD reception, cutting the lead to 19 - 7, and then the West all-stars recovered an onside kick. However, East got another key interception on the ensuing series, and went to the locker room with the 12 point lead.

The third quarter was scoreless, as West failed to capitalize on a long, 7-minute plus drive, botching a field goal attempt. In the fourth, Zack Jaynes (Pisgah) hit Lance Lewis (Concord) with a TD pass to get West within five, 19 - 14. The East all-stars however quickly answered with another Jones field goal, extending their lead to 22 - 14. West’s final scoring opportunity was foiled by a Malcolm Moses (Southern Nash) interception.
