North over South as UNC Chapel Hill heads to Omaha
June 11th, 2007 Posted in NCAA baseballNorth Carolina beat South Carolina in the game three clincher of the Super Regional to advance to Omaha for a College Word Series berth against suprising Mississippi State. UNC is going to Omaha for the second straight year - the first time in school history that UNC has gone back-to-back. And, like last year, it was a big Chad Flack homerun that was the difference, this year it was a tie-breaking two-run shot in the 7th.
