7:05 pm ET - Chicago Cubs select Blake Murphy from Western Carolina University with the 1435th pick of the 50th round. Blake Murphy is the catcher for the Catamounts of Western Carolina. Murphy was a first team All-SoCon member this year.
6:30 pm ET - Arizona Diamondbacks select Garrett Bullock out of Wake Forest University with the 1330th pick in the 45th round. Bullock is a left handed pitcher for Wake Forest, where he is a draft eligible sophomore and has two years of college eligibility.
5:50 pm ET - Philadelphia Phillies select John Hinson out of A.C. Reynolds high school with the 1210th pick in the 40th round. Hinson is a shortstop from A.C. Reynolds high school and he is committed to play college at Clemson University. His teammate Sam Runion was drafted in the 2nd round by the Kansas City Royals.
5:36 pm ET - Colorado Rockies select Chris Vasami out of Elon University with the 1171st overall pick in the 39th round. Vasami has played first base, third base, and he has pitched for Elon this year.
5:22 pm ET - New York Yankees select Steven Strausbaugh out of Western Carolina with the 1135th pick in the 37th round. Strausbaugh played outfield for Western Carolina University.
5:16 pm ET - San Francisco Giants select Eric Neitz out of East Carolina University with the 1117th pick in the 37th round. Neitz is a left handed pitcher for the Pirates of East Carolina.
5:05 pm ET - San Francisco Giants select Paul Clemens out of Louisburg Junior College with the 1089th pick in the 36th round. Clemens is a right handed pitcher for Louisburg Junior College.
4:46 pm ET - Seattle Mariners select Trent Rothlin out of Fred T. Foard high school with the 1061st pick in the 35th round. Rothlin is right handed pitcher and he is committed to play his college ball at Clemson University.
4:43 pm ET - Pittsburgh Pirates select Thomas Boleska out of High Point University with the 1054th pick in the 35th round. Boleska is a key right handed pitcher for the Panthers of High Point University.
4:40 pm ET - Boston Red Sox select Anthony Bajoczky out of Duke University with the 1041st pick in the 34th round. Bajoczky pitching for Duke had a good year picking up wins against ACC powers-Virginia, Florida State, and UNC Chapel Hill.
4:25 pm ET - Seattle Mariners select Chris Pecora out of North Carolina Wesleyan with the 1003rd pick overall in the 33rd round. Pecora played outfield for North Carolina Wesleyan this year.
4:08 pm ET - Cincinnati Reds use their 31st round pick to pick Jordan Hotchkiss out of Brevard College with the 949th overall pick. Brevard College is a NAIA school located near the mountains in Brevard, NC and Jordan Hotchkiss was a right handed pitcher for them this year.
3:59 pm ET - Cincinnati Reds select Brett Bartles out of Duke University with the 919th overall pick in the 30th round. Bartles is Duke’s everyday third baseman and he had a solid season for the Blue Devils.
3:48 pm ET - Texas Rangers select Ryan Falcon out of UNCG with the 890th overall pick in the 29th round. Falcon is a left handed pitcher out of UNCG and is another former teammate of mine. Falcon was a 2nd team All-SoCon selection this year.
3:43 pm ET - Oakland Athletics use their 28th round pick to select Lee Land with the 870th overall pick. Lee Land is a right handed pitcher that red shirted this year at UNCG after transferring in from the University of Arkansas. Land started his college career at Wake Forest University before transferring to Arkansas.
3:20 pm ET - San Francisco Giants select Ramon Corona out of NC State University with the 794th pick in the 26th round. Corona is a Miami native, where his neighbor is current New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez.
3:19 pm ET - Arizona Diamondbacks select Thomas Layne out of Mount Olive College with the 793rd pick in the 26th round. Layne is a left handed pitcher from Mount Olive College
3:04 pm ET - Minnesota Twins select Spencer Steedley out of University of North Carolina at Charlotte with the 782nd pick in the 25th round. Steedley was drafted as a first baseman but he also pitched for the 49ers.
2:51 pm ET - Philadelphia Phillies select Caleb Mangum out of NC State University with the 743rd pick in the 24th round. Mangum has been the main guy behind the plate for the Wolfpack after battling injuries early in the season.
2:42 pm ET - Houston Astros select Charlie Gamble out of North Carolina A&T St. University with the 711th pick of the 23rd round.
2:35 pm ET - Detroit Tigers select Kris Rochelle out of UNC Charlotte with the 691st pick in the 22nd round.
2:32 pm ET - Cleveland Indians select Sthil Sowers out of North Lenior high school with the 677th pick in the 22nd round. Sowers is right handed pitcher, who is coming off a stellar pitching performance in the first game of the State Championship.
2:19 pm ET - Chicago Cubs select Dustin Sasser out of East Carolina University with the 637th pick of the 21st round. Sasser is a left handed pitcher for East Carolina.
2:16 pm ET - San Diego Padres select Robert Woodard out of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the 627th pick in the 20th round. Woodard has been the most consistent pitcher on UNC Chapel Hill’s staff over the last couple of years.
2:14 pm ET - Texas Rangers select Kenny Smith out of Western Carolina University with the 620th pick in the 20th round. Smith is a second baseman, who started his career at UNCW before transferring to Western Carolina, where this year he was the Southern Conference Player of the Year.
2:09 pm ET - Tampa Bay Devil Rays select Chris Luck out of South Granville high school with the 605th pick in the 20th round. Luck is a right handed pitcher from South Granville, who is committed to play at Surry CC.
1:53 pm ET - Seattle Mariners select Guy Welsh out of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with the 555th pick in the 18th round. Guy Welsh is a former teammate of mine that came to UNCG from Pima CC out in Arizona.
1:48 pm ET - Chicago White Sox select Dale Mollenhauer out of East Carolina University with the 539th pick in the 17th round.
1:46 pm ET - Los Angeles Dodgers select Chris Jacobs out of Glenn high school with the 536th pick in the 17th round. Jacobs is a first baseman, who possesses raw power that has intrigued scouts.
1:44 pm ET - Atlanta Braves select Benji Johnson out of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the 528th pick in the 17th round. Johnson played primarily as a catcher and designated hitter for Chapel Hill.
1:08 pm ET - Boston Red Sox select Eammon Portice out of High Point University with the 384th pick in the 12th round. Portis had a good year as a starting pitcher for High Point.
12:48 pm ET - Arizona Diamondbacks select Josh Ellis out of Wake Forest University with the 343rd pick in the 11th round. Ellis was a key relief pitcher for Wake Forest during his career there.
12:34 pm ET - Baltimore Orioles select Erik McConnell out of NC State University with the 309th pick in the 10th round. McConnell transfered to NC State from Western Carolina and was a starter for them last year before becoming their closer this year.
12:30 pm ET - Kansas City Royals select Greg Holland out of Western Carolina with the 306th pick in the 10th round. Holland worked as the closer for Western Carolina this season, where he was All-SoCon.
12:18 pm ET - Boston Red Sox select Adam Mills out of UNC Charlotte with the 264th pick in the 8th round. Mills is a right handed pitcher, who had an All-American season for the 49ers this year.
12:15 pm ET - Texas Rangers select Jonathan Greene out of Western Carolina University with the 260th pick in the 8th round. Greene drafted as a catcher but played mostly outfield for Western Carolina this year.
12:05 pm ET - Baltimore Orioles select Shane Matthews out of East Carolina University with the 249th pick in the 8th round. Matthews was the closer for East Carolina this season.
11:55 am ET - Chicago White Sox selects James Gallagher with the 239th pick in the 7th round. Gallagher is an outfielder from Duke University.
11:53 am ET - Boston selects David Mailman with the 234th pick in the 7th round. Mailman is a first baseman from Providence high school, who is committed to play at Wake Forest University.
11:45 am ET - Seattle Mariners select Reid Fronk with the 215th overall pick in the 7th round. Fronk is an outfielder from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

8:43 pm ET - The Oakland Athletics use their 5th round selection and 180th overall pick to select Andrew Carignan. The Oakland Athletics go back to select, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill closer Andrew Carignan, making him the second player drafted by them today.
8:22 pm ET - The Arizona Diamondbacks with the 163rd overall pick in the 5th round select Tyrell Worthington. Tyrell Worthington is an outfielder from South Central High School, who is committed to play both baseball and football at East Carolina University.
7:40 pm ET - Quincy Latimore is selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the 128th overall pick in the 4th Round. Quincy Latimore is an outfielder from Middle Creek high school, who has committed to play his college ball at NC State University.
7:32 pm ET - The Detroit Tigers use the 121st overall pick in the 3rd round to select Luke Putkonen. Luke Putkonen is a right handed pitcher from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Luke is a draft eligible sophomore and has two years of college eligibility left to play at Chapel Hill.
7:05 pm ET - The New York Mets select Eric Niesen with the 99th overall pick in the 3rd round. Niesen is a left handed relief pitcher from Wake Forest University.
6:53 pm ET - With the 90th selection of the 2nd round, the Oakland Athletics select Josh Horton. Horton is a shortstop who played his high school ball at Orange high school in Hillsborough, North Carolina before taking his talents to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
6:25 pm ET - Kansas City Royals select Sam Runion with the 2nd pick in the 2nd round and 66th overall pick, Runion is a right handed pitcher from A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville, North Carolina.
5:50 pm ET - Seattle Mariners select Matt Mangini, a third baseman from Oklahoma State University with the 52nd overall pick, Mangini played high school at Apex High School in Apex, NC. He started his collegiate career at NC State University, where he played his first two years before transferring to Oklahoma State University this year.
5:38 pm ET - Justin Jackson is a shortstop from T.C. Roberson High School in Asheville, North Carolina was selected with the 45th overall selection by the Toronto Blue Jays making him the second high school player from North Carolina drafted today
4:53 pm ET - First Round of the draft is complete with two North Carolina players taken with Madison Bumgarner from South Caldwell High School going 10th overall to San Francisco and Andrew Brackman from NC State University going 30th overall to the New York Yankees. There is a fifteen minute break before the supplemental first round begins.
