Finals in Dome even better | ajc.com
We locals have gotten accustomed to the Georgia Dome. We drive by it on the way to work. We go there on Sundays to watch the Falcons lose. To us, it’s just another big building. But to a teenage athlete, nothing beats the Dome as a destination.
North Gwinnett in command | ajc.com
Working out of a no-huddle spread attack, Tamburo completed 21 of 29 throws for 235 yards and two touchdowns. North Gwinnett’s first offensive play foretold the barrage to come. With Jaison Yoshimuro running a post, Tamburo threaded a 35-yard strike between two defenders.
Third-quarter outburst sweet for Cairo | ajc.com
Rousing halftime speeches are part of football legend. Screaming coaches busting up chalkboards and having their team roll onto the field for an unforgettable comeback are all part of it. Lovett roars to win over Cook | ajc.com
Lovett erased all the bitter memories of last year’s 65-7 loss to Dublin in the state semifinals, bolting out to a 24-0 halftime lead en route to a 29-16 win over Cook at the Georgia Dome. Lovett (12-2) will travel to No. 1 Buford (14-0) next Saturday for the AA championship game with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
Buford routs Dublin to stay unbeaten in the Dome | gwinnettdailypost.com

Dome-inate | gwinnettdailypost.com
For the second time this season, the North Gwinnett football team showed it could come up big the second time around against a previously vanquished opponent. As they did in a second-round matchup with Brookwood, the No. 5 state-ranked Bulldogs dominated in nearly every phase of the game of their rematch with Walton.
Tamburo the cog in North Gwinnett’s strong offense | gwinnettdailypost.com
North Gwinnett has a very good football team without quarterback Michael Tamburo. With him, very good becomes very special. One that may very well win the Class AAAAA state title this year because of him.

Whitewash: Warriors shut down West in second half | forsythnews.com
Young West Forsyth had the will, but against an athletic, experienced White County team, there was no way. The Wolverines never stopped scrapping, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Warriors from posting a comfortable 64-33 win in West’s home opener Friday night.
