Walker coach Frank Cuda announced his resignation recently at the school’s year-end football banquet. Cuda took over the Wolverines in 2004 and had a record of 16-25. He was also the first coach to last more than one year in Walker’s first seven seasons of football.

For the past five seasons Buford and Charlton County have dominated Class AA football. The two schools, more than 300 miles apart, have met in the playoffs annually since 2003. Buford won that first matchup to claim the AA state title. Since then, Charlton’s wins over Buford paved the way for the Indians’ streak of three straight championships.
