Local Replay Featured Event: Georgia State Championship Weekend in Volleyball

The Georgia High School State Volleyball Championships are this coming weekend at Marietta High school where all of the stars will be out. The championship game will feature a number of state regulars and a few upstarts from all over. Local Replay will have coverage from this weekend’s action as well as the semi-final games from the week. Class A/AA will feature Wesleyan and Lovett, who both had difficult roads to the championship and set up one of the t #1 seed vs. #2 seed matchups that dominate the entire final four. Class AAA has Columbus and Sandy Creek facing off in the championship game. Columbus had an easy time with dispatching Oconee County. However, Sandy Creek fought hard with Westminister and won their tiebreaker 15-8 making this one of the more intriguing matchups. Starr’s Mill and McIntosh square off in the Class AAAA title game, where everything will be on the line. Both teams come into the game riding a huge streak of momentum. Look for this to be possibly the closest game of the weekend. The last game will feature volleyball powers Northview and Kennesaw Mountain . Both teams handled their business in the semifinal matches, and essentially rolled through the playoffs for this collision course in the championship game. Needless to say, this weekend should be one of the best in recent playoff memory.
