Georgia High School Football Top 10 Rankings - Week 8

Class 5A
1.M.L. King-The Lions destroyed Newton 47-12, and keep their top spot in Class 5A.
2. Lowndes-A victory against Valdosta in the Winnersville Classic puts them in the second spot.
3. Camden County-The Wildcats dominated Beech 46-0, and remain a contender.
4. Chattahoochee-Northview was no match for the Cougars, 48-14.
5. Coffee-A close win over Warner Robins leaves them in the top 5.
6. North Gwinnett-The Bulldogs had no problem with South Forsyth in a 29-6 win.
7. Walton-Kell couldn’t handle the Raiders, 56-24, in a big region win for Walton.
8. Jenkins-The Warriors won an easy region game against Windsor Forest.
9. Stephenson-Redan almost pulled a big upset, but the Jaguars held on and remain in the top 10.
10. Valdosta-A loss to Lowdnes puts them at the bottom of the top 10, but they are still a premier team in the state.

Class 4A
1. Northside Warner Robbins-Upson-Lee gave the Eagles a scare but they stay in the top spot with a region victory.
2. Tucker-An overtime victory for the Tigers prove that they are vulnerable but they are among the best in the state.
3. East Paulding-Chapel Hill didn’t match up well against the Raiders, and East Paulding continues to roll.
4. Dalton-An overtime win against Northwest Whitfield puts the Catamounts in the top 4.
5. Fayette County-A big region win over Westlake 37-6 brings the Tigers to the top of their region.
6. Salem-The Seminoles rolled over Rockdale County and continue to be a great pick to win their region.
7. Mays-Mays shut out a very powerful Miller Grove team 14-0.
8. Thomas Central County-Americus-Sumter did not fare very well against the Yellow Jackets.
9. Statesboro-The Blue Devils are continuing to impress in Southern Georgia after their win against Richmond Academy.
10. Hillgrove-The Hawks come into to the top 10 with an exciting 22-16 win over Woodland, Henry.
Dropped Out: Evans, Northwest Whitfield

Class 3A
1. Carver-Columbus- An undefeated record and an impressive 42-0 win against Harris County leaves the Tigers at the top of the heap.
2. North Hall-One of the most unstoppable teams in 3A has been the Trojans of Anorth Hall.
3. Chamblee-The Bulldogs had a big win over Grady, 49-21.
4. Carver, Atlanta-A close call over McNair keeps the Panthers in the top 4.
5. Stephens County-An undefeated record puts the Indians in the top 10.
6. Cairo-The Syrupmakers have been on fire, and even with their mid season setback they are among the best in the state.
7. Henry County-The Warhawks quickly dispatched of Spalding 21-0 and remain a contender for the state title.
8. Shaw-The Raiders have been explosive offensively as Lagrange found out last Friday.
9. Wesminister-Blessed Trinity was a mere speedbump during the Wildcats’ impressive run this season.
10. Flowery Branch-After a loss to North Hall, the Facolns bounced back with a 49-38 win against Gainesville.
Dropped Out: Peach County, Carrollton

Class 2A
1. Charlton County- An undefeated record and a 41-0 win against Brantley County makes the Indians the best in the state.
2. Buford-With their huge 56-0 win against Walker, the Wolves are making a case for number 1.
3. Dublin-The Fighting Irish have righted the ship after a rough start and are proving to be title contenders.
4. Fitzgerald-Hard to fault the Purple Hurricanes for feeling disrespected, but they continue to prove the critics wrong.
5. Morgan County-A big win over Rabun County keeps the Bulldogs rolling along.
6. North Oconee-After a bye week North Oconee will face Glascock County.
7. Calhoun-The Yellow Jackets handled Adairsville 41-0.
8. Pierce County-The Bears are beating up opponents and Jeff Davis was the latest victim.
9. Swainsboro-The Tigers won easily against Jefferson County 21-7.
10. Fannin County-The Rebels defeated Dawson County 13-7.
Dropped Out: Jeff Davis, Callaway

Class 1A
1. Fellowship Christian-The Paladins are rolling as they continue to beat up Class A, this time against Landmark Christian.
2. Lincoln County-The Red Devils have an impressive resume, especially after a big win over Wilkinson County.
3. Emmanuel County-No losses thus far, and the Bulldogs are looking to complete their undefeated season.
4. Clinch County-Since their first two games of the season the Panthers have been virtually unstoppable.
5. Athens Academy-A region title is definitely on the mind of the Spartans.
6. Pacelli-The Vikings are proving why they are the most underrated team in Class A.
7. Commerce-The Tigers have a huge victory under their belt with the win against Prince Avenue.
8. Dooly County-Yet another Class A undefeated as Dooly took care of an overmatched Irwin County.
9. Brookstone-Central, Tabotton quickly found out the Cougars are for real.
10. Jefferson-The Dragons have picked up steam in region 8 with a 19-12 win against Social Circle.
