MLK

Class 5A

1. M.L. King-Union Grove wasn’t much of a challenge as one of the top teams in the state continues to roll.
2. Lowndes-Their huge win over Coffee, 13-12 catapults them into the top 2.
3. Camden County-50-6 makes it sound like the Wildcats are back.
4. Roswell-Wheeler was no match for the Hornets 31-0.
5. Tift County-The Blue Devils are still licking their wounds after a crushing loss to Thomas County Central.
6. Chattahoochee-Central Gwinnett was a huge region game, and the Vikings delivered a 42-0 win.
7. Coffee-Their tough loss to Lowndes drops them down a peg.
8. North Gwinnett-The Bulldogs are again dominating with an easy 24-3 win over Collins Hill.
9. Berkmar-An impressive 38-12 victory over Central Gwinnett makes the Patriots a very dangerous team.
10. Walton-The Raiders spring into the top 10 with a 35-14 win over Northview

Dropped Out: Berkmar

NWR

Class 4A

1. Northside Warner Robbins-Dutchtown was the latest victim en route to the Tigers goal of an undefeated season.
2. Tucker-The Tigers have not given up a point through 5 games this season.
3. East Paulding-The Raiders are again cut it close with a 16-13 against Pebblebrook.
4. Statesboro-A tidy 21-0 victory over Lakeside, Evans proves that the Blue Devils are one of the best in the state,
5. Cherokee-It’s becoming apparent that the Warriors can no long be called Cinderella, but instead contenders with their 32-10 victory over Alexander.
6. Rome-The Wolves are on a tear - a 40-0 win over Gordon Central shows how dominant this team can be.
7. Northwest Whitfield-The Bruins scored in bunches against Ft. Oglethorpe, and are a team on the rise.
8. Fayette County-Another undefeated record in 4A for the Tigers as they downed Northgate last week.
9. Mays-The Raiders won a close one 14-12 over a very strong Columbia team.
10. Salem-The Seminoles are back in the top 10 after proving themselves with 4 straight wins following an opening day loss.

Dropped Out: Winder-Barrow

Carollton

Class 3A

1. Carrollton-The Trojans owned Haralson County, and kept the top spot in 3A.
2. Lagrange-The Grangers have yet to allow a point as well. Last week they shut out Hardaway.
3. Flowery Branch-Chestatee was dispatched quickly by the Falcons 43-14.
4. Carver, Columbus-The Tigers drubbed Columbus 51-0 last week.
5. Cairo-It’s pretty clear that the Syrupmakers are state title contenders, as their 46-0 win proves that point.
6. Peach County-A region victory for the Trojans this week against Spalding was just what the doctor ordered.
7. North Hall-A dominant Trojan team enters our top 10 after a huge win against Gainsville.
8. Chamblee-Only seven points allowed for the Bulldogs and those seven came last week in a 30-7 win over Blessed Trinity.
9. Carver, Atlanta-The Panthers have been one of the hottest teams in 3A, after a big 40-6 win over South Atlanta.
10. Grady-After losing a heartbreaker to Douglass in week one, the Grey Knights have reeled off 3 straight wins.

Dropped Out: Gainesville, Spalding, Blessed Trinity

Charlton County

Class 2A

1. Charlton County-An easy 31-7 win over Pierce County cements the Indians’ top ranking.
2. Buford-The Wolves have caught fire, and Greater Atlanta Christian was one of their latest victims.
3. Dublin-The Fighting Irish stormed back in region play with a 42-7 victory over East Laurens.
4. Fitzgerald-Dodge County surprised a number of people around the state in hanging with the Purple Hurricanes 13-6.
5. Bleckley County-Vidalia wasn’t even close against the Royals, 23-6.
6. Morgan County-The Bulldogs were impressive in their 2A victory over Union County.
7. Callaway-The Cavs have quietly compiled a 5-0 record.
8. North Oconee-The Titans took care of business 26-22 against Creekview.
9. Adairsville-The Tigers have been very powerful and have bounced back since their week two loss against Cass.
10. Calhoun-The Yellow Jackets have been strong all year, and will look to improve after a big win against Commerce.

Dropped Out: Greater Atlanta Christian, Pierce County

FC

Class 1A

1. Fellowship Christian-Their victory 31-14 over Athens Academy earns them the top spot in 1A.
2. Lincoln County-The Red Devils dominated Aquinas 40-0.
3. Emmanuel County-Jenkins County found out how good these Bulldogs can be.
4. Clinch County-41-12 over Lanier County makes the Panthers legit.
5. Hancock Central-The Bulldogs got a big win over Monticello 15-12.
6. Bremen-Another strong undefeated team, the Blue Devils won last week 27-7.
7. Athens Academy-Their tough 31-14 loss makes them drop big time, but their wins earlier this season make them still a legit top ten threat.
8. Schley County-The Wildcats are rolling with a 46-19 romp over Central, Talbottom.
9. Wilcox County-The Patriots have found their rhythm - just ask Wheeler County who was on the wrong end of Wilcox County’s 55-0 win.
10. Commerce-The Tigers lost big to Calhoun, but they are such a force in Class 1A it is impossible to kick them out of the top ten.
