MLK

Class 5A

1. M.L. King-The Lions cemented their place at the top of the standings with a 49-7 win over North Atlanta.
2. Coffee-Their 49-0 win against Johnson, Savannah made a lot of noise across the state.
3. Camden County-The Wildcats were off last week, and move up a spot.
4. Roswell-The Hornets suffered a heartbreaker in a 10-13 loss to Walton, but stay in our Top 10.
5. Tift County-The number one team fell in a 13-32 loss against Thomas Central County.
6. Lowndes-Central Gwinnett was a huge region game, and the Vikings delivered a 42-0 win.
7. Chattahoochee-A close win (35-32) over Lassiter is just what the doctor ordered for the Cougars.
8. North Gwinnett-An easy win (43-18) over Forsyth Central sets up the Bulldogs for a playoff run.
9. Berkmar-Berkmar will kick off its region tilt with Central Gwinnett after a bye week.
10. Parkview-The Panthers owned Houston County this week 21-0.

NWR

Class 4A

1. Northside Warner Robbins-Jones County was simply a 49-0 speed bump this week.
2. Tucker-The Tigers have yet to give up a point this season as they crushed St. Pius X 35-0.
3. East Paulding-The Raiders pulled out a tough 14-3 win against Alexander.
4. Statesboro-The Blue Devils are again proving they are a threat in Class 4A with a 35-6 win over Wayne County.
5. Cherokee-The Cinderella story continues as the Warriors win again. This victory coming in a 38-13 game against Chapel Hill.
6. Rome-Lakeview found out the hard way the Wolves are for real, 34-13.
7. Northwest Whitfield-The Bruins are 4-0 after a 17-14 win over Ridgeland.
8. Fayette County-Woodward Academy was no match for the Tigers, 21-7.
9. Mays-The Raiders have compiled a 4-0 record, but will have to face Tucker in 2 weeks.
10. Winder-Barrow-The Bulldogs won against Jackson County 10-7 last week to bring their record to 4-0.

Carollton

Class 3A

1. Carrollton-The Trojans don’t budge after a bye week.
2. Lagrange-Kendrick was the latest victim for the Grangers, 34-0.
3. Flowery Branch-The Falcons are proving to be a force in 3A with a 27-7 win over East Hall.
4. Carver, Columbus-The Tigers faced Northside, Columbus in a rivalry game that wasn’t even close, 46-9.
5. Cairo-The Syrupmakers get a bye week before they play Matanzas, FL.
6. Monroe-Hancock Central posed little challenge as the Tornadoes rolled 35-12.
7. Peach County-The bye week for a Trojans helps them prepare for Spalding.
8. Spalding-After beating West Laurens 3-0, the Jaguars pounce into our Top 10.
9. Gainesville-The Red Elephants destroyed Lumpkin County, 42-12.
10. Blessed Trinity-South Atlanta didn’t even put up a fight against the Titans in a 38-0 win.

Charlton County

Class 2A

1. Charlton County-The Indians will face Pierce County after a bye week.
2. Buford-The Wolves won 49-6 against Weslyan and continue to roll.
3. Dublin-The Irish don’t move after an impressive showing against Stephens County, albeit a loss.
4. Fitzgerald-The Purple Hurricanes won big 47-21 against Mitchell County.
5. Bleckley County-A 17-6 victory over Twiggs County helps to prepare the Royals for the region schedule.
6. Morgan County-Their loss to a strong Franklin County team is no reason to move the Bulldogs.
7. Pierce County-An easy win over Tattnall County sets up the Bears for a strong region run.
8. Callaway-A 15-7 win over Manchester made the Cavs look like contenders.
9. Greater Atlanta Christian-The Spartans are going strong after a 41-8 win over Cross Keys.
10. North Oconee-The Titans are on a roll after beating Rabun County 43-13.

Dropped out: Darlington, Tattnall County

Athens

Class 1A

1. Athens Academy-A bye week gives this powerhouse time to prep for Fellowship Christian.
2. Lincoln County-Another team with a bye week, and they will face Aquinas this week.
3. Emmanuel County-A 42-35 overtime win against Toombs County gives the Bulldogs a reason to smile.
4. Clinch County-A bye week gets the Panthers ready for Lanier County.
5. Commerce-Trion couldn’t hang with the Tigers 38-30 in a hard fought matchup.
6. Seminole County-The Indians were again on fire with a 33-9 win over Atkinson County.
7. Hancock Central-It is hard to fault the Bulldogs for their loss against 3A Monroe. Look for success this week against Monticello.
8. Bremen-The Blue Devils got a huge 24-14 win over Darlington this past weekend.
9. Schley County-The Wildcats hung on against Jenkins County 14-7 to keep their undefeated season alive.
10. Wilcox County- A 4-0 record vaults the Patriots into the top 10 after a 52-0 win over Treutlen.
