Trinity Christian Lady Crusaders Win Big Over Mount De Sales. The Lady Crusaders rolled to a 12-0 victory in five innings against the Lady Cavs. Nicole Benton, Kinsley Mason, Kassi Shepherd and Shae Kitchens all came up big for coach Krista Meadows.
West Laurens Enjoys Success, Defeat at Johnson County Tournament. Efforts from Lady Raider pitchers Valerie Pittman and Megan Soles were partially negated by team errors as West Laurens went down to Taylor County 5-1 in their opener, but turned it around against Mary Persons 6-1 in game two.
Long County Resorts to Winning Ways in Matchup Against Charlton County. Freshman pitcher Kala Mills and the Long County Blue Tide Girls Softball Team shut out the Charlton County Indians 5-0 in a recent home game. Coach Cindy Mills highlighted her team’s strong defense as a key in the victory.
Alcovy Blanks Salem. Johnna Bagley led the Lady Tigers to an impressive 9-0 win over Salem.
Heritage Goes Down to Madison County. Dickey Hightower’s Lady Red Raiders were unable to overcome early miscues as they get overpowered in an 11-4 loss to Madison County.

Southeast Bullock Go Down to Screven County. Pitcher Megan Barnwell and the Lady Yellow Jackets suffer their first region loss as Lady Gamecock pitcher Marla Thompson threw a three-hit shutout in a 2-0 Monday night matchup.

Arnall Shuts Out Lee; Smokey Road Rolls Over Evans. Led by catcher Camille Eaton, the Knights took down the Timberwolves 3-0. Syndi Garmany allowed only one run in the Wildcats’ win over the Cougars.
- Elementary School Football -
Trinity Crusader Elementary Football Team Takes Down Edmund Burke. The Trinity Crusader Elementary football team picked up their first win of the 2007 season, using a pair of Brent Rosa 70-yard touchdowns runs to breeze past Edmund Burke 14-0.
- College Football -
Georgia Southern Football Players Honored. Quarterback Jayson Foster was honored for the second straight week as the Southern Conference’s offensive player of the week after leading the Eagles to a 42-34 win Saturday over Coastal Carolina. Former Bleckley County standout Zeke Rozier was named Freshman of the Week.
Georgia Southern Quarterback Jayson Foster Wins Player of the Week. Foster’s 253 rushing yards and school record six touchdowns in win over Coastal Carolina were awarded by Player of the Week honors.
