With high school football just around the corner, and other high school sports starting soon, we’re getting many versions of the same set of questions. We’ll address the most prevalent ones here (we’ll continue to respond to your individual mails too).

How does my high school team get a TeamCard?

99% of you already have one - click here to find yours. Most schools are in the database already (every sport). If yours isn’t there yet, then let us know (support@localreplay.com), and we’ll fix that. To change your empty TeamCard to a site like this (South Rowan Football), upload photos/videos (any registered user), rosters (coaches), stats (coaches), etc.

Where are the photos and video highlights from my high school football team’s game?

Most of our videos and photos come from coaches and fans. Many that already tape their games want to upload the video so they can have it on their team’s web site, and many said they would, but it is hard to predict. As the season unfolds, and we see which teams consistently post, we’ll link to them here.

We have a growing network of photographers, videographers, and media partners that will upload. We’ll generally know in advance, and will post here when we know we’ll be getting photos or videos from a specific game.

Can videos and photos taken by non-professionals really look good?

Yes. Not as good as an HD, multi-camera ACC or NFL games, but it is the next big thing if you don’t happen to have someone with an HD camera doing all your games. Check out the photos and videos from a Georgia Soccer tournament as an example - almost all were shot on consumer digital cameras and camcorders (click on a TeamCard).

My high school team doesn’t have anyone taking photos and videos, but we still want content for our team’s site, our player’s StarCards, and our FanCards. Can you send someone to my game?

In general, no, but keep telling us about big games, and we’ll continue to consider all the factors. The best thing you can do to guarantee content for your team is to make sure your team and fans know the following so they’ll upload theirs:

-They can upload to LR for free
-It is very, very easy - like attaching a file to an email type easy.
-We keep the content up on your pages forever - next year’s team gets their own TeamCard, your 2007 team gets to keep theirs the way it is.
-You keep control of the content - you can move it around to your personal StarCards, FanCards, etc.
