East Lake will be looking to end the dominance of Palm Harbor University

Class 5A, District 9 at Tarpon Springs
This District pretty much belongs to Palm Harbor University as they have won the last three district titles, but perennial runner up East Lake drew some blood from their rivals this year and should have confidence heading into Tarpon Springs. Aside from PHU, this district has some teams that can make some noise. Don’t be surprised to see the 4th seeded and home Standing Spongers give Palm Harbor a game…if they get past scrappy 5th seed Clearwater on Thursday, that is.
