Bobcat Invitational Championship Results - Girls

The BHS Invitational was even more competitive than initially anticipated. LocalRepay covered all of the action - see it here.
Lets see how I did in my initial predictions from a week ago:
In the Girls Black division, Jensen Beach won easily 2-0 over Olympia. I predicted Buchholz would beat Jensen Beach in the finals - wasn’t too far off. Would BHS have contended if healthy? Possibly, but Jensen Beach looked dominant throughout the tournament.
In the Girls Gold division, George Jenkins won 2-0 over Gainesville Eastside. Although Eastside played them tough, George Jenkins was clearly the better team. I predicted Eastside would beat George Jenkins in the finals, and again, wasn’t too far off. Are Gainesville teams being exposed here, or is it just a bad case of the holiday woes? Although I must credit the winners, lets keep in mind that the real season begins in the district tournaments.
In a closer match in the White Division, Land O’Lakes defeated North Broward in penalty kicks. I was on the mark with this one - but barely.
Congratulations to all teams participating! It was a well run tournament with some very exciting soccer. A lot of talent was in Gainesville this weekend! I look forward to seeing how each team performs in their district tournaments.
