Sun Bowl - Day Three
December 29th, 2007 Posted in boys soccer, Tampa Bay Sun Bowl, Florida, SoccerEarly this morning at the Tampa Bay Sun Bowl, some teams were fighting for a mere glimmer of hope at advancing to tonights semis- others simply packed up and tried to avoid the Buccaneer hoopla that was congesting traffic and flights back home. What has impressed me most about this tournament is the level of competition, regardless of records and rankings. We saw the #20 nationally ranked U - 16 Clearwater Chargers fail to qualify, while the unranked South Florida Elite dominated the field in their age group. It will be interesting to see the pairings and results of the other age groups for tonights games. Surely they will effect national rankings.
