Bobcat Invitational 1/3/07 - 1/5/07

December 28th, 2007 Posted in girls soccer, Bobcat Invitational, Florida, Soccer

The Bobcat Invitational, the oldest high school soccer tournament in Florida, is again host to some of the boys and girls elite teams from around the state. Recent Gainesville Coach of the Year and current Bobcat Girls Head Coach Ron Messick views the tournament as both a means to showcase his players and an opportunity to measure his team against top competition he otherwise would not play during the regular season. “This tournament is a big test for us before we start preparing for districts. It shows us where we stand…what we need to work on. We play a lot of games so we get to look at players that normally don’t get a lot of playing time. It’s also great for the kids, especially the seniors who get an opportunity to play in front of some college scouts.”

The Bobcat Invitational web site will have all the highlights, and already has links to the team web sites for the teams competing in this year’s Bobcat Invitational.

The Bobcat is still adding teams so be sure to check their web site for the latest Bobcat Invitational Girls Teams and the latest list of Bobcat Invitational Boys Teams.
