Florida Football: Week 9 4A Rankings
October 23rd, 2007 Posted in Florida Sports, Florida, High School Sports, Florida Football, football, High School FootballThankfully for my dignity, Seabreeze got a 20-9 win despite some sloppy play last Thursday. That keeps them at the top and keeps me from looking like a fool. Their opponent, Rockledge, actually moves up despite the loss. Rockledge is a dangerous team that nobody wants to face in the playoffs. Of course, it’s doubtful that anyone would choose to play any team in this top 10, which has Plant back for the first time since it lost to Armwood weeks ago. Any of the top 5 teams deserves consideration for the top spot. Lincoln, though, fell to No. 6, and we’re concerned about the team’s defense. Eastside and Land O’Lakes are knocking on the top 10 door. Meanwhile, Northeast and Hillsborough are reeling from losses that pushed them down the ranks. The same goes for Titusville and Columbia. Oh, and Hallandale finally gets in. It knocks Chiles out for the moment, but the team could return if anyone falters this week.
