First up, we have a golf story from the Bradenton Herald, where the Lakewood Ranch girls team is now 9-1. Notice that the St. Stephen’s boys team is 8-1. By the way, the paper also has this story on Bradenton Prep, which decided against a girls team despite being the defending 1A state champs.

Braden River is also playing well on the boys side. The team is led by Zack Klawonn, who shot a 1-under 35 on Tuesday to help the Pirates cruise past Palmetto. Braden River (6-2) also got a 37 from Chase McCarthy.

Down in Miami, Douglas golfer Rober Meador shot a 4-under 68 to win the Gene Morris Golf Invitational. Meanwhile, Barron Collier’s Kelly Kurtyka received due praise from the Naples Daily News for her recent strong play.

Meanwhile, Mosley star Nick Hartzog shot a 32 on Tuesday to lead his team to a 141 finish, seven shots better than Bozeman. Bay High and Arnold were also competing in that one.

The Lakeland Ledger has reported that Polk County’s best golfer this year appears to be Winter Haven’s Drew Matthews, but he might have some trouble keeping up with Palmetto’s Ernesto Marin, who shot a 6-under 30 on the frontside at Granada last week to propel his team to a 6-0 mark.

And here is a list of what the Orlando Sentinel sports department says are the best Central Florida golf teams. They call it their Super Six. Lake Mary is their top boys team, and Lake Howell is the top girls team.

In Volusia County, DeLand High’s girls team has taken the top spot away from Spruce Creek.
